According to the National Bureau of Statistics, about 16.5 million Nigerian are jobless and over 1.2 million jobs were created in 2014 alone by both the formal and informal sector.
While some of these statistics can be heart–breaking, talent recruiting is an ongoing thing with brands. Employers are still looking for job seekers with different varying skills who can fill specific roles.

#1: Get involved or lose out– Today’s job market landscape is changing. Jobs can be won or lost online. Talent recruitment via online is growing steadily and must soon become the norms. #2: Learn which technology is ruling your landscape– From psychometric testing to technology-driven tools, jobs are relying more on technology to drive their process. #3: Direct approach works: Think you have a skill in any of these fields? Employers may not directly advertise these roles so you might need to approach them directly. Pick top 5 companies in your industry. Learn everything you can about them and then approach their internal head hunters or recruiters. Tell them about how your skills can help them. People who apply directly for a job have a 100 to 1 chance of being interviewed and 1 in 10 chances of being hired if interviewed by a recruiter.
